Arkansas Getting Everyone Outside (Arkansas GEO) is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization which was organized in 2015 with the idea of inspiring everyone to become more active by engaging in outdoor activities. Arkansas GEO will use monies raised by various outdoor challenges/events to provide scholarships for children and adults who wish to participate in outside events such as camps, trips, or by completing a college degree with an outdoor focus.
Our future goal is to be able to supply scholarships for numerous students and to be able to send a student abroad for studies. We are mainly looking to help students in Hot Spring County for the short term. Each student wanting a scholarship will submit a theme telling what they are studying or what they are planning to study in college. Scholarships will be judged by a panel of businessmen from Malvern.
Arkansas GEO is the only group that is using an outdoor theme to supply scholarships. We will be using races and donations to fund our work. We are starting with two races with more races and events to come at a later date. We are starting small but are looking to grow!
